Althoff Seehotel

If you're looking for something different and more resort like in Europe, check out the Althoff Seehotel on Lake Tegernsee 45 minutes south of Munich near the Italian border in the Alps. It's the only 5 star property near the lake and has multiple pools and two lakefront beaches and one of the largest spas in Germany. All spa treatments are done in private suites and there is nearby Alpine hiking and fitness and yoga programs, and a private dock with sailboats to go out on the lake. There are 5 restaurants on property and a cooking school which can be rented out for private events. The smallest rooms on the property are 400 sq feet, and all rooms have private balconies or patios. There's also nearby skiing....soooo maybe a possibility if you're thinking about holiday travel as well.
